Luke Combs announced the release date of a highly-anticipated anthem he’s been teasing on his social media accounts for months.

Combs confirmed on Wednesday evening (July 16) that his new single, “Back in the Saddle,” will arrive on Friday, July 25. The North Carolina-born country star began stirring eagerness for new music when he shared a “life update” on May 15. He said at that time that he was “getting back in the saddle here. Back in the studio. I’m very excited about that. …And got a big tour coming next year. I just kind of finalized a lot of the details on that here in the last week or so. So, new record coming up soon, new tour coming up, (I’m) just excited, man. I’m excited.”

He added in his caption at the time that “there also may or may not be an Easter egg regarding new music in this video that will one day make sense.”

Combs has since confirmed “Back in the Saddle” is the single’s title. He wrote the soon-to debut song with Jonathan Singleton and The Brothers Hunt — songwriters and God’s Country podcast hosts Dan and Reid Isbell — and revealed sneak peeks on TikTok and Instagram. Combs previously told his fans, “I really think y’all are gonna like this one.”
