Carrie Underwood And Brad Paisley Reunite At The Grand Ole Opry

Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley reunited on stage this weekend for a special, socially distanced performance at the Grand Ole Opry.

The two country superstars teamed up to perform songs such as "Let The Circle Be Unbroken," "Whiskey Lullaby" and their 2011 hit duet, "Remind Me." They also took on Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty's song, "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man" and Randy Travis' "I Told You So."

"As long as the Opry keeps going, I have hope for country music and Nashville," Paisley told viewers during the live stream.

After the show, Underwood turned to social media to reflect on the evening at the Opry. "Always an honor to play the @opry ...especially with someone like @bradpaisley," Underwood captioned a series of photos of her alongside Paisley singing. "The circle remains unbroken ❤️ #Home #GrandOleOpry #Blessed"

Paisley and Underwood's reunion marks the 4,941st consecutive Saturday broadcast from the Grand Old Opry, dating back to 1925. Since March, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, performances at the Opry have been all virtual.

Other artists to perform an audience-free show at the Opry include Keith Urban, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Luke Bryan, Kelsea Ballerini and more. Next up on the Opry stage will be Riley Green, Tenille Townes, Ashley McBryde and Mark Wills on September 12 at 7PM ET.

Paisley is still riding high with his current single, "No I In Beer," while Underwood gears up for the release of her Christmas Album, My Gift. The project, which marks Underwood's first ever Christmas album, will feature holiday classics like "Silent Night," "O Come All Ye Faithful," "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and more. My Gift is due out on September 25.
