Cassadee Pope Breaks Silence With New Single ‘If My Heart Had A Heart’

If you have ever experienced heartache, this powerful and melancholy track will stop you dead in your tracks.

Cassadee Pope has released the first track from her new upcoming album, ‘Stages.’ The new single called, “If My Heart Had A Heart” pours out countless emotions of loss in a conversational melody and shares her personal experience with heartbreak.

“If my heart had a heart, it would go on and leave me alone / It'd stop having a mind of its own / Let me forget you and let me let go," sings Pope. "It would stop hanging on / It would finally put this to rest / Instead of putting this stake in my chest / Oh, no, it wouldn't tear me apart / If my heart had a heart."

Cassadee hopes that the tracks on her 11 track album, ‘Stages’ will showcase vulnerable and reflective experiences that she has witnessed over the last year and a half.

"The whole record is just telling the things that have happened over the past year and a half: the good, the bad and the ugly. Fans are gonna get to know me a lot better."

Fun Fact: Do you think you recognized the background vocalist? If you are a Dan + Shay fan, your ears and instinct were correct! Vocal powerhouse Shay Mooney lent his vocal talents to this project.

Cassadde is preparing to join Maren Morris on the 'GIRL: THE WORLD' All-Female Global Tour which kicks off March, 9th in Chicago, Illinois.
